At first glance, it didn’t seem any different from other dark-wood neighborhood taverns. But then we noticed the psychedelic posters lining the walls, the bottomless baskets of free popcorn and the old man in the corner laughing his ass off at nothing. Is this bar high?

The owner, Autumn, is one of the friendliest and down-to-earth people ever. They have an awesome beer garden out back and a great list of drafts and cocktails. I lived in the neighborhood for 2 years without realizing what a gem Bucktown Pub is. I can't believe I went 2 years without it!

Tony and the crew are the best. Always great food & booze. My friends & I call it out living room

I recently went to Bucktown Pub for their Throwback WWF Party which essentially was a party celebrating pro wrestling from the 1980s with icons such as Hulk Hogan, Sting, Macho Man Randy Savage, Sgt Slaughter, among others. The bar had reasonably priced drinks and free popcorn. The venue held the costume contest and had karaoke afterwards. Friendly atmosphere as there were a lot of kind people and the owner herself participated in festivities such as karaoke and we had a lot of fun. The only minor complaint I have for the event itself is they advertised a BBQ and there would be food. Aside from the popcorn which was free, I didn't see any other food being provided or sold. The costume party and the fun times more than made up for it however.
