We’ve seen people at this dim, homey, Near North pub hang out without ever ordering a drink, but we just can’t follow suit. We envy the friendly neighbors who drop onto wooden stools just to chat up the bartender. But when we spy two-dozen beers on tap—mostly domestic gems like Great Lakes’ Grassroots Ale—we feel like settling in and getting our drink on.

This is my favorite spot because it never disappoints. There is always a great selection of beers on tap, everyone is really friendly and, now that it's warm out, you can enjoy it all on the beer garden. Happy to see this place get nominated because it really deserves it.
