The teams behind the Rocking Horse and Dante's Pizzeria recently took over this Avondale bar and liquor store, with plans to eventually add a restaurant to the building. For now, the classic slashie sells a wide selection of craft beer and liquor on one side, while bartenders serve up affordable drinks on the other. If you're feeling lucky, ask for the $2 dice shot: Each roll of the dice corresponds to a different cheap liquor—pray that you don't get the schnapps.

Great selection on tap, very chill atmosphere with friendly bartenders. Perfect if you are looking for new beers to try. Very convenient to have a liquor store in the same building as well. Great spot to stop in for a few beers anytime of the week
Love Crown Liquors! You might think it's going to be a crappy little bar attached to a liquor store, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The bar is super nice with tons of regional and other great beer options. Plus, the cocktail menu is delightful, and the bar hosts awesome dance nights.
The tap room is simple and unadorned, with knowledgeable service, a strong selection of drafts at extremely reasonable prices and outdoor seating. Who needs anything fancier?
Beer or booze? Drink at home or at the bar? The best part is that Crown Liquors has the answers to both of these questions no matter which way you go, hell, you can even do a little bit of both. The bar is stocked with an ever-changing list of taps and bottles from around the area and the same can be said for the beer stocked in the coolers in the attached liquor store. For those on the edge of Logan Square or in Avondale, Crown Liquors should be an essential part of your routine.
