George Street Pub

Bars, Sports Bars Lake View
5 out of 5 stars

Seafood is just about the last thing you'll find—let alone order—at most neighborhood taps in this city. And an extensive craft beer selection (both on tap and in bottles) is hardly par for the course at a Lakeview bar that's decked out in TVs blaring the game at full volume. Yet George Street Pub traffics in both, so have your perfectly fried (but otherwise unremarkable) walleye sandwich on a French roll and drink your Triple Karmeliet, too.

As a dog owner in Chicago it can be tough to find decent dog friendly patios and beer gardens, but for the last several years GSP is where we like to spend our summer evenings with the pups! This menu boasts a heavy selection of seafood from mussels in white wine and garlic (SO good!) to a blackened tilapia sandwich and even jambalaya. They also have a great selection of burgers, salads, and appetizers. The pecan crusted chicken tenders are my fave! They have an extensive craft beer and cider selection on draft and in bottles, and for those of you Three Floyds fans, they have Zombie Dust on draft occasionally!

*Please note that the patio allows dogs after 5pm Sunday - Thursday.

I love this place. Love the owners, and love the food. The outdoor patio is the place to be on a nice sunny day. Go there now!
