Beer. People drinking beer. Bearded people drinking beer wearing T-shirts bearing beer logos. This laid-back tap room adjacent to Half Acre’s brewing facilities swarms with all these things and more. Minimal picnic-style tables lend a beer-hall vibe, and on tap are the brewery’s classics (Daisy Cutter, Pony Pilsner), its latest experiments and everything in between. You can peek through the doors into the brewery to see where the magic happens, but we guarantee this side of the building is having more fun.

Half Acre is a great Chicago-based brewing company and their taproom location makes it feel like the perfect neighborhood joint. Get a cold pint while also trying their ever changing food menu. Usually for breweries you wouldn't expect them to have quality food, but here at Half Acre the chefs provide high quality dishes that you would almost expect from a fine dining establishment. All the quality with none of the pretentiousness.

I won't lie................... I love this place because my son works there. But, they make great beer in a great city.

Line up early to get a spot on the weekly brewery tour, even in the dead of winter spaces go fast! Even if you miss out though, the taproom is a great place to grab a drink (or spend a whole day).
