The Chicago outpost of Lagunitas Brewing Company is the largest craft brewery in the city, mixing up barrel upon barrel of potent, hoppy concoctions. Housed in a group of warehouses near Douglas Park, the facility is primed to become a popular destination for tourists and beer aficionados.

Hands down the best brewery to go to in the city! As soon as you enter into the building, you go down this magical hallway of neon lights while the theme song from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory plays in the background. You feel like you literally go to beer heaven when you walk down there. The space is massive and perfect for group outings or a fun date night. I would definitely recommend trying to come here for a tasting brewery tour, which would include tons of free samples of their most popular beers as well as being able to hang out in a huge communal space that has been appropriately nicknamed "adult day care". Even though they aren't a Chicago-based beer company you cannot go wrong with any of their beers, strong in both flavors and personality. They also offer a full food menu in case you drink one beer too many and need good food to help absorb all that alcohol. I love to bring all my out of town friends here and all of them have said it was one of the highlights of their trip. 10/10 if you are a beer lover you need to frequent this spot.

Best brewery in Chicago. Game over. Not necessarily the best beer, per say; or the best tours or brewpub food, but when everything comes together the way it does at Lagunitas, it's hard to want to go anywhere else. The free beer tours are totally worth playing hooky from work for. Free beer, informative guides, and a sick tasting room.

The vision here was to only use 1/8 of the space to start and build out from the "bird's nest" taproom. Genius - and flawlessly executed. My favorites are the exclusive kegs such as the fusions, but you can get all your favorites. Food is mad decent, as well. Very laid back, fun vibe.

I'd highly suggest testing out the Pink Line, because you'll "taste" a lot, and the lowest ABV is 4.5... With $5.50 flights (cheapest I've ever seen), you really can't go wrong here.

Walking up to the tap room is an adventure. You get a sense of the volume of beer they distribute from this mid-west location. The tap room overlooks the production facility and they give tours every hour on weekends. Food is fresh and delicious. Many seasonal draft beers you can't get in bottles or cans. Love the on- site store where you can grab a t-shirt or a growler to go.

I love coming to this place. It has a really nice low key vibe with a few extras that make coming to this place special. As the previous reviewer mentioned, there's often a magician as well as live music. If you're not afraid of sharing a picnic table and making new friends, this place is for you. The food and drinks are cheap and the Hogunitas is of the chizzzzay. It's their take on a cuban sandwich and it's warm, savory, and the break has the perfect amount of crispiness to it. Also, the mussels here are pretty awesome. They're always huge, never fishy/dry, and no matter what the rotating broth is, it's good. Trust me.

My only complaint: why or why are you only open until 9PM? Do you have early curfew too? I'd ask for an extension, Lagunitas :)

I love this brewery! The seating has a German beer hall atmosphere and the food is really great. My friends and I often go here after work on Friday's where they also host a magician for entertainment. The seating overlooks the brewery which gives it a nice flair. When it's busy it can be hard to get a waitress or waiter and its a bit of a hike to get over there from anywhere in northern Chicago, but its worth the trip!
