Underneath a highway and inside a dark, unmarked storefront isn’t the first place you’d look for kids and dogs. But when a bar opens at 8am, its patrons—a diverse mix of guys (yeah, they’re pretty much all guys) from the neighborhood who work all hours of the night—tend to get pretty comfortable, stopping in for a beer (all bottles, no taps) regardless of what they’ve got with them.
