There’s no better place to cheer on your team than this down-home, blue-collar institution that’s been serving up cold ones since 1881. Arrive at least a half hour before game time if you plan to eat—and you should definitely plan to eat. Just-like-Mom-made classics include crispy pork tenderloin smothered in perfect pan gravy and greaseless fried chicken. Add doting servers, cheap beer and a living room–like atmosphere, and you’ve got the best sports experience short of front-row tickets.

Schaller's is without question a must for every Chicagoan. The drinks are cheap, the food (especially the prime rib) is to die for, and the people watching is epic. I have been going to Schaller's for the better part of 15 years and will continue to do so. It has lost a little bit of luster with the passing of Pops, but this family run place is great either before or after a Sox game, or if you just want to catch up with a friend on a nice afternoon.
Also, you never know if you may get a former mayor walking through the vintage doors, and taking in all the history can't be beat.
Great family restaurant and bar. Live music on Fridays and Saturdays occasionally. Have celebrated many Special Times here!!!
