For the best views of Chicago, head to the J. Parker, the rooftop bar atop the Hotel Lincoln.

On the one hand, the BOKA Restaurant Group’s year-round rooftop bar is unlike any other in the city: It boasts destination-themed cocktails, seasonal small-plates from chef Paul Virant and sweeping, mesmerizing, breathtaking views of Lincoln Park from the 13th-floor roof of the Hotel Lincoln. On the other hand, it’s still a rooftop bar, which means you might need to sacrifice your first-born just to get a seat.

The J. Parker is my favorite rooftop bar in the city! The views and the drinks are both amazing and it is my go to spot in the summer. I love doing happy hours at the J. Parker because it is a perfect view for the sunsets!

Got to check out the J. Parker recently with a friend and it was a blast! You can enjoy a good beer while sitting on a killer patio with an incredible view of the city. I highly recommend checking it out!

The J Parker has one of my favorite views of the city on a gorgeous summer day. The service is usually quite friendly, and it's got much less of a stuffy vibe than other Chicago rooftops. That said, if you are deterred by crowds and loud clubby music, I'd avoid this place on Sundays. It definitely has more of a fast-paced, club vibe. Not sure about on Saturdays. But on a warm weeknight, it's especially lovely. I'd recommend splitting fries and snacks with friends while sipping on a gin cocktail (or three).

The J Parker has one of the best rooftops in the city, and especially in summer. The views are great and their destination-themed drinks are quite lovely. It's no Three Dots, but on a hot summer night I'd rather be on top of a building rather than in the basement of one.
