First impressions are not this spot's strong suit. When we entered the dusty old dive with silver tinsel in its two tiny windows, we thought it would be the kind of joint where knife fights are as common as games of eight ball. Boy, were we wrong. After we ordered a beer and complimented a dude on his jukebox Beatles block, the bartender offered us free pizza and, later, the parting words "Be careful out there."
