Amazon Prime Now will bring your groceries to your door

We just got used to having our toilet paper delivered to our doorsteps in hours, but beginning today, Amazon Prime members will be able to get their groceries, prepared meals and baked goods dropped off within a few hours as well. Amazon Prime Now will bring grocery items from Plum Market, Sprinkles Cupcakes and My Fit Foods in addition to the items offered by Amazon.

From 8am–10pm every day, you'll be able to order all the ingredients for your homemade spaghetti and cupcakes right to your door with the Prime Now app's one-hour delivery service. You may never have to step foot in a grocery store again.

Amazon's only rolling this out to certain zip codes right now but expects to add more zip codes as the service grows. While this is a slow start for grocery delivery with only one grocery store (compared to other delivery services like Peapod and Instacart), maybe we can hope to see Jewel-Osco or Mariano's jump on the delivery bandwagon soon.
