The Center on Halsted will host a candlelight vigil on Monday, June 12, the one-year anniversary of the mass shooting at Orlando’s PULSE nightclub.
PULSE: One Year Later will take place at 6pm, honoring the 49 lives lost in the attack on the LGBTQ club. The center says its vigil on the evening of the shooting last year attracted more than 500 people, and it expects more on Monday, the day after the National Equality March in Washington, D.C. A Chicago offshoot of that event will take the form of a rally at Andersonville Midsommarfest, Sunday at 11am.
