Bailiwick Chicago today announced a three-show lineup for its upcoming season, to include two musicals and a world-premiere play.

The season opens in October with a new production of Michael John LaChiusa's 2000 musical The Wild Party (October 2–November 1), based on the poem by Joseph Moncure March. Brenda Didier will direct a cast led by this year's Jeff Award winner for actress in a musical, Danni Smith, as Queenie, Matthew Keffer as Burrs and Danielle Brothers as Dolores. Molly Coleman, Gilbert Domally, Patrick Falcon, Desmond Gray, Jason Grimm, Christina Hall, Sharriese Hamilton, Ryan Lanning, Steven Perkins, Khaki Pixley, Jason Richards and Sasha Smith round out the ensemble.

Bailiwick opens 2015 with Princess Mary Demands Your Attention (January 15–February 21), a new play by resident playwright Aaron Holland, staged by artistic director Lili-Anne Brown, that combines War and Peace with drag queens. Later in the spring comes the Chicago premiere of the 2012 Off Broadway rock musical Murder Ballad (April 2–May 9), by Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash; James Beaudry directs. The Wild Party and Princess Mary will be performed at the Richard Christiansen Theater at Victory Gardens; Murder Ballad will be staged at the Flat Iron Arts Building in Wicker Park.
