It may be reaching well into the 90s today, but we're keeping cool by grabbing tickets to ride The Polar Express. The train ride inspired by the classic children’s book and heartwarming movie of the same name is returning to Chicago’s Union Station with even more rides than last year. The journey begins December 3, but tickets are on sale now here. And you can be pretty sure they’ll sell out.

For anyone who’s somehow missed the years-long Polar Express fascination of children and adults alike, the Amtrak ride inspired by the story invites passengers of all ages to take a one-hour train trip through tunnels, rail yards and neighborhoods along the Chicago River. Once your golden ticket is punched and you’re on your way, you’ll also get hot chocolate and a cookie—served by dancing chefs, no less. Of course, if you’re good, Santa is likely to make an appearance, too. Passengers will also get to participate in a reading of the book. And everyone’s encouraged to wear pajamas.

Rides are offered on select dates through January 1, with pricing starting at $49 for adults and $35 for children ages 2–11.
