Blackhawks Stanley Cup parade set for Thursday

The Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup on Monday night, which means that they're getting a parade. WGN confirmed with sources within the city that the downtown party will take place on Thursday, but no time or exact location has been released.

When the club won the title in 2013, the parade ran down Washington Street between Des Plaines and Grant Park. Considering the Loop Link construction taking place on Washington, it's probably safe to say that the route will be altered this time around.

The past two parades celebrating a Blackhawks championship drew thousands of supporters, and this year should be no different. One can expect funky costumes, public intoxication and good old fashioned tomfoolery.
