If you're planning on making the Publican your new regular weekend brunch hang, you'll want to get your name in early or make a reservation, because this West Loop spot fills up quickly. And for good reason—it serves up a different menu on Saturday and on Sunday, depending on what you're looking for.

Saturday's brunch is served from 10am–2pm with an emphasis on the Publican's oysters a la carte for $3.50 each, alongside brunch items that range from a German-inspired weisswurst to a waffle with honey butter and black raspberry jam. You'll want to grab one of the cocktails, whether you're set on one of the morning hangover killers like the Bloody Mary or looking to get started early with the Kentucky Ice, complete with whiskey, bourbon chai tea, Angostura and cream.

If you're not much of an oyster fiend, try the Sunday brunch instead, served from 9am–2pm with brunch dishes like a Cajun sausage with grits, mojo rojo sauce, snap pea, ricotta salata and a sunny-side up egg. If you're looking for something on the sweeter side, check out the pastries section of the menu and pick from selections like the meyer lemon old fashioned doughnuts and pecan sticky buns. No matter which day you choose, there's something for everyone in the mornings at the Publican.
