Caitlyn Jenner will be the headliner for Chicago House's seventh annual Speaker Series luncheon on Thursday, November 12, it was announced today. Once known as "the world's greatest athlete" after winning gold in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games, Jenner became arguably the world's highest-profile transgender person after announcing her transition from Bruce to Caitlyn this year.

The Chicago House Speaker Series benefits the organization's longstanding work providing housing for those affected by HIV and AIDS and combating LGBTQ poverty. Chicago House is also home to the TransLife Center, providing social services and support for transgender individuals, which the organization says is the nation's most comprehensive program of its kind. Past speakers in the series have included both Bill and Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright and Laverne Cox. Individual tickets for this year's event start at $200; visit chicagohouse.org for more info.
