Check out Chicago's most expensive home on the market

One year ago today, the mansion at 1955 N Burling St hit the market for a colossal $18.75 million, making it the most expensive home for sale in Chicago. The six-bedroom, 10.5-bathroom house has yet to fetch a buyer, presumably due to a lack of multi-millionaire egomaniacs shopping for real estate in Lincoln Park.

The place spans 20,000 square feet, occupies five city lots and, even though it was built in 1999, has a classical, early 20th-century feel. It has a separate two-bedroom guesthouse, a six-car garage, an indoor pool and spa, a home theater, and a view of the skyline that could make Rod Blagojevich sell another Senate seat.

Check out some photos of the home below and see how Chicago's one percent lives.
