Dumplings are one of the best things to have ever graced the planet as far as food is concerned. And now, Chicago will have an entire festival dedicated to the juicy bites. It's called Wrappers Delight, and it will take place on October 15 from noon–3pm at AceBounce Chicago.

There are already 14 restaurants on the roster competing for the prize of "The Dumpling d'Or," including Osteria Langhe and Lost Lake, among others. We can only hope that the roster continues to grow. The definition for "dumpling" will have a global emphasis, only requiring the idea of "dough wrapped around a filling," which could include anything from potstickers to pierogi to tortellini. Tickets are $50 and include tastes of all the dumplings, three beers from Goose Island and a cocktail from Lost Lake. Proceeds from the event will support the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
