Steppenwolf Theatre Company will host the actor Claire Danes as the guest of honor for its annual Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts luncheon on February 4.

The multiple Emmy Award winner's connections to the theater include costarring with ensemble member Tracy Letts in the Showtime series Homeland, as well as playing daughter to ensemble member Tom Irwin in her breakout role as Angela Chase on the short-lived 1994 series My So-Called Life.

Past honorees at the fundraiser include Steppenwolf ensemble members Joan Allen, Laurie Metcalf and Martha Plimpton, as well as Juliette Lewis, Julianna Margulies, Margo Martindale, Julianne Nicholson and Mary-Louise Parker. The venue for this year's luncheon remains to be announced. Individual tickets start at $200, with tables available for $5,000 and up.
