Cubs' Kris Bryant goes undercover as a Lyft driver

As convenient as ride-sharing services like Lyft are for hailing a ride around the city, getting a good driver can be a dicey proposition. Sometimes you get a driver with a nice car who annoyingly obeys every traffic law to a T, or you could ride with a maniac who treats driving on the road like the video game Twisted Metal.

But what if you could get a ride from one of the best baseball players in Chicago? That's exactly what happened to a few locals recently when they called for a Lyft ride. Wearing only a pair of sunglasses and street clothes to go incognito, Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant participated in the "Undercover Lyft" video series as he drove unsuspecting Chicagoans around the city and asked them if they followed sports, specifically baseball. Most of them were aware of the Cubs' recent success and knew they had a stud third baseman, even if they couldn't readily name him or identify him sitting in the driver's seat. There was also a guy who compared the athleticism of baseball players to that of chess players, which I'm sure Bryant found flattering.

Bryant also brought up a great point when he pointed out that Wrigley Field doesn't have a Bryant poster on the stadium's facade. Maybe that's something the Cubs can address before the start of their World Series run next month.
