Drury Lane Theatre has plans to launch an intimate new cabaret series in August. The Cabaret Room at Drury Lane will feature performances in the Oakbrook Terrace conference center’s 80-seat English Room. Kicking off the series is “Leading Ladies of Chicago Theatre,” with two nights of some of the city’s most impressive musical theater talent.
On Friday, August 12, E. Faye Butler, Roberta Duchak and Heidi Kettenring take the stage for shows at 6:30 and 9:30pm. Sunday, August 14 features Christine Mild, Meghan Murphy and Leryn Turlington performing at 6 and 9pm. Duchak is musical director for both programs, with Jeremy Kahn as accompanist.
Tickets for all performances are $25–$45, with a $25 food and drink minimum. Reservations can be made by calling Drury Lane’s box office at 630-530-0111.
