Franklin Barbecue visiting Chicago this summer

Land and Sea Dept. (Parson's Chicken & Fish, Longman & Eagle) will team up with Franklin Barbecue, based in Austin, Texas, for a series of events at the beginning of July.

Chef Aaron Franklin, James Beard best chef Southwest award winner, will be at Land and Sea Dept. studios for three days as a part of a tour for his new book, Franklin Barbecue: A Meat-Smoking Manifesto.

Events will take place July 2, 3 and 4 at 7pm, and a limited number of $100 tickets can be bought through Eventbrite starting at noon on Friday, June 19.

Food and drinks are included, with offerings from Franklin Barbecue with the help of Charlie Schott and Hunter Moore of Parson's Chicken & Fish. Guests will be able to meet Franklin, get signed copies of his book and sample smoked meats.
