Giordano's weird hot dog pizza hybrid is back

In July, Giordano's announced it would be serving up a Chicago-style hot dog deep dish pizza at Wrigley Field for a limited time. And for some reason or another, it sold out every day it was on the menu. Maybe it's just too tempting or maybe it holds the answer to the question, "What if you turned a Chicago style hot dog into a pizza?"

Regardless, it's back. The pizza will be offered beginning August 10 at Giordano's Lakeview and Navy Pier locations every day as well as its food truck every Wednesday through the end of August. The pizza is offered in a 6-inch personal pan size for just $10.99. The deep dish pizza is stuffed with Vienna Beef hot dogs, filled with chopped tomatoes, onions, pickles and sport peppers and served with pizza sauce and yellow mustard.

We're kind of disgusted at the idea of this food thing, but there must be a good reason why people are going nuts for it. Right?
