War Paint, this summer’s highly anticipated and presumably Broadway-bound new musical debuting at the Goodman Theatre, is introducing a same-day lottery for discounted tickets via the TodayTix mobile app. Starting today, up to four hours before curtain time, TodayTix users can enter daily for the opportunity to purchase up to two tickets for that day's performance at $25 each; users can increase their chance of winning by sharing on Facebook or Twitter. Winners will be notified two–four hours before showtime and given one hour to complete their purchase in the app; unclaimed tickets will be offered to other entrants.
The musical, which stars Tony winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole as rival cosmetics magnates Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden, reunites the Grey Gardens creative team of songwriters Scott Frankel and Michael Korie, book writer Doug Wright and director Michael Greif. Currently in previews, War Paint runs through August 21 at the Goodman.
