The Irish Theatre of Chicago, formerly known as Seanachaí Theatre Company, today announced a 2015–16 slate of three plays, all new to Chicago.

The season opens with My Brilliant Divorce (October 7–November 1), a solo piece by Geraldine Aron about a middle-aged woman's unexpected unmarried life. It's to be performed by Barbara Figgins, with direction by Siiri Scott, at Chief O'Neill's Pub & Restaurant in Avondale.

That's followed by In a Little World of Our Own (March 2–April 10), a Northern Irish thriller by Gary Mitchell. Jeri Frederickson will direct. The season winds up on the U.S. premiere of Spinning (May 25–July 3), a drama by Dierdre Kinahan about an ex-con and a grieving mother, to be staged by Joanie Schultz. Both of the latter plays will be performed at the Den Theatre.

Irish Theatre of Chicago's current show, the world premiere of Karen Tarjan's The White Road, begins previews tonight at the Den.
