It’s (finally) going to be a glorious spring weekend in Chicago

April was a total tease, wasn’t it? We enjoyed some particularly gorgeous weekends very early on this spring, but we’ve spent the last few weeks trudging through mid-40s nonsense. That ends this weekend. The forecast is calling for highs in the 60s—we might even hit 70 degrees if we’re lucky.

Just in time for the warm weather, the Fountainhead roof deck opens for the season today at 6pm. They’re kicking things off with a party featuring seasonal pours from Evanston’s Temperance Beer Co. The rooftop at Gene’s Sausage Shop opens on May 25, just in time for Memorial Day weekend, DNAinfo reports.

Speaking of warm weather openings, City Mini Golf in Maggie Daley Park is officially open for putt-putt beginning May 12. The 18-hole course features replicas of iconic Chicago structures (a six-foot tall Willis Tower, a mini version of the Picasso in Daley plaza).

That said, we’ll probably get slammed with a Memorial Day blizzard, so get out and enjoy this beautiful weekend!
