The Virgin Hotel opened earlier this year to a great deal of praise. Its restaurants are solid, the rooms are spectacular and there is even a Tesla on hand to chauffeur guests around town. Virgin Group founder and loony tycoon Richard Branson was in Chicago on Thursday for the hotel's grand opening, where he did a reprise of an iconic scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Branson popped out of a group of German-themed dancers as the song "Danke Schoen" began to play. He was wearing a leather jacket, a leopard-print vest and a T-shirt that read "#Branson's Day Off." In true John Hughes fashion, "Twist and Shout" followed, and Branson awkwardly shook his 64-year-old booty while creeping out everyone who was present. It's worth noting that he clearly did not know the lyrics to either tune.
