The Second City e.t.c. has a cast for its next revue, the second stage's 40th. And it consists of more women than men.

The 40th e.t.c. revue will feature Lisa Beasley and Scott Morehead, continuing from the current e.t.c. revue Soul Brother, Where Art Thou? Joining the cast are Aasia LaShay Bullock, Peter S. Kim, Katie Klein and Julie Marchiano. A four-woman, two-man cast is unusual for the company's two big stages, which have tended toward even 3-3 splits in recent years; a spokesperson for Second City couldn't immediately confirm if a majority-female cast is a first. (Update: It's not quite a first—the e.t.c.'s fifth revue, Channel This, or Die Yuppie Scum, had four women and three men back in 1988.)

Matt Hovde is the director for the 40th revue, with musical direction by Nicholas M. Gage. The as-yet-untitled new show begins performances in March, with an opening expected in mid-April.
