Seven actors to share title role in Tracy Letts's 'Mary Page Marlowe' at Steppenwolf

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced partial casting for the upcoming world premiere of Mary Page Marlowe, by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts (August: Osage County). The 19-person cast will include seven actors portraying the title character, an ordinary Ohio accountant, at different stages of her life, among them Letts's wife, Carrie Coon (HBO's The Leftovers, Steppenwolf's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), along with Lindsay Crouse, Laura T. Fisher, Caroline Heffernan, Annie Munch and Rebecca Spence.

Helmed by Steppenwolf's new artistic director Anna D. Shapiro, the production has also cast Ian Barford, Alan Wilder, Stephen Cefalu Jr., Amanda Drinkall, Jack Edwards, Kirsten Fitzgerald, Keith Gallagher, Sandra Marquez, Madeline Weinstein and Gary Wilmes. One Mary and two other roles remain to be announced. Mary Page Marlowe will run March 31–May 29.
