Edgewater's Steep Theatre today announced a four-play lineup for its 14th season, featuring playwrights from the U.K., Ireland, Germany and the United States.

The slate opens with the Midwest premiere of The Vandal (October 2–November 8), the playwriting debut of the American actor Hamish Linklater. Shade Murray will direct. It's followed by the Irish writer Ross Dungan's The Life and Sort of Death of Eric Argyle (January 22–February 28), a hit at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe; Jonathan Berry directs.

Joanie Schultz will helm the U.S. premiere of Martyr (April 16–May 23), a drama about a teen who suddenly turns fundamentalist Christian, by the German playwright Marius Von Mayenburg (The Ugly One). Finally, Robin Witt will stage the U.S. premiere of Brilliant Adventures (July 9–August 15), an award-winning work by the young English scribe Alistair McDowall.
