1. Devour some delicious barbecue

Bill Kim’s Backyard BBQ Series has been a very tasty hit this summer. This month, Chef Bill Kim will team up with the folks at Honey Butter Fried Chicken to create an unforgettable meal. (BellyQ, 1400 W Randolph St, Sun 1pm. $45)

2. Geek out in the best way

This weekend, gamers are flocking to Rosemont for the Arcade, Video and Room Expo. With more than 200 arcades games available, you sure won’t be bored. (Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare, 5440 N River Rd in Rosemont, Fri-Sat 9:30am-Midnight. $30 for one day, $50 for both)

3. Get your gyro on

The annual Taste of Greektown is this weekend, so come ready to eat your weight in feta. With music and dance to boot, it’ll be a party all weekend. (Greektown, Halsted and Van Buren Sts, Sat-Sun 12pm-11pm. Free)

4. See a circus unlike any other

Midnight Circus in the Parks returns to Chicago for its tenth year, so don’t miss it. The family-friendly event features acrobats and aerialists in an intimate setting. (Ogden Park, 6500 S Racine Ave, Sat-Sun 3pm. $15-$20)

5. Check out the works of 200 artists

Bucktown Arts Fest, a local favorite, returns to the West Side neighborhood again this weekend. Enjoy your art, poetry, theater and dance with a beer and some snacks. (Senior Citizens Park, 2300 N Oakley Ave, Sat-Sun 11am-7pm. Free)
