1. Explore a side of Chicago you’ve never seen before

Open House Chicago is quietly one of the coolest weekends of the year, so don’t sleep on it. Take free architectural tours of the most beautiful, compelling buildings in the city. (Various locations, check the full schedule here. Free)

2. Do Sunday Funday in style

Drink your way through the best brunch beverages in Chicago at Bloody Mary Fest. Cocktail experts will duke it out for the title of Chicago’s Bloody Mary Master. (Plumbers Hall, 1340 W Washington Blvd, Sun 11am–3pm. $45)

3. Make it a weekend at the movies

The Chicago International Film Festival has officially kicked off! See the movies everyone will be buzzing about come Oscar season. (AMC River East 21, 322 E Illinois St, see full film schedule here)

4. Drink up with the animal kingdom

This Saturday night, the Lincoln Park Zoo’s liquor diversity will rival its species diversity at their 21+ Wild Spirits event. Don’t forget to pour one out for Harambe. (Lincoln Park Zoo, 2001 N Clark St, Sat 6pm. $49, $20 for designated driver, $69 VIP)

5. Dine at all your favorite four-wheeled restaurants

Between the 26 food trucks, the Empty Bottle’s music programming, Revolution beer on tap and an A.V. Club sponsorship, this Logan Square Food Truck Social might be the most “Logan Square” Logan Square event ever. (Armitage Ave and Humboldt Blvd, Sat, Sun 11am–10pm. $5 suggested donation
