1. Enjoy a new, unique Japanese and European art exhibit

The Art Institute's "Spreading Devotion: Japanese and European Religious Prints" examines religious prints from the East and the West, including woodblock prints of patron saints and Japanese deities. These beautiful books and pamphlets are on display. (Art Institute of Chicago, Rosemont, 111 S Michigan Ave. General admission.)

2. Catch the Chicago premiere of Other Hands

Don't miss Linchpin Theatre's Chicago premiere of this 2006 study of love in the time of technology by British playwright Laura Wade. This is definitely a can't-miss for theater-lovers. (Josephinum Academy, Wicker Park, 7:30pm. $10.)

3. Enjoy the Mighty Diamonds in Millennium Park

The Mighty Diamonds, the longest-running vocal trio in Jamaican musical history, always puts on a great performance. The island vibes extend to supporting act Charley Organaire, a prominent Jamaican ska artist who opens for the trio. (Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park, 6:30pm. Free.)
