The three best things to do today in Chicago

1. Celebrate the luck of the Irish

A few weeks before St. Patrick's Day, Logan Theatre hosts a four-day Irish film festival to celebrate the country's heritage. Get a dose of the Emerald Isle before the green beer drinking amateurs ruin it for all of us. (Logan Theatre, 2646 N Milwaukee Ave, $10-$12)

2. Answer "what if..."

See the musical If/Then to satisfy all the what-if questions in your curious mind. This show switches between two story lines impacting that character of Elizabeth, a recent divorcée determined to start a new life, based on opportunities she takes and ignores. (Oriental Theatre, 24 W Randolph St, 7:30pm, $22-$95)

3. Launch into another galaxy

Browse comic books and records at the Galaxy Hero Relaunch Party in the Revolution Brewing Taproom. Sip on some crisp, hoppy Galaxy Hero and grab a copy of Revolution Brewing's first comic book, which features a caped hero named after the limited brew. (Revolution Brewing Taproom, 3340 N Kedzie Ave, 6pm, Free)
