1. Listen to a little jazz

Enjoy an outdoor summer concert and take in beautiful skyline views at Jazzin’ at the Shedd. Guests can enjoy cocktails and bites while listening to a series of rotating jazz ensembles. (Shedd Aquarium, 1200 S Lake Shore Dr, 5pm. $20)

2. See a generation though photos

The photography exhibit examines the toll that decades of turmoil has taken on a generation of Iranian people. Wander through documentary photos, portraits and fine art photography by a group of artists who have lived and worked in Iran. (Museum of Contemporary Photography, 600 S Michigan Ave, 10am. Free)

3. Play bingo, win farm-fresh produce

Every summer the Hideout and Irv and Shelly’s Fresh Picks team up to bring you Veggie Bingo. Have a beer, play bingo and, if you get lucky, you’ll win some fresh summer produce for dinner later. Proceeds benefit Chicago’s community gardens. (The Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia Ave, 5:30pm. $4 per bingo card, $10 for pack of three cards)
