1. Don't miss John Mulaney one more time

We’re psyched to have Chicago native, former SNL writer and standup superstar John Mulaney back for a third time this year. His last two home turf shows sold out, so you’re getting a third chance to see Mulaney headline, this time for the Better Government Association's summer comedy fundraiser. (Park West, 322 W Ave, 6:30pm. $75)

2. Enjoy alfresco lunch while it lasts

Thursdays throughout the summer mean we get to go outside for lunch! Nosh’s weekly food market offers peri peri chicken, tamales and sandwiches that will make you salivate. Savor whatever time you get for lunch as well as this perfect weather. (440 S LaSalle St, 10:30am)

3. Make a statement with artist Julie Green

Over the past 15 years artist Julie Green has painted images of death row inmates' last meal requests on plates, highlighting the anonymous nature of the death penalty with a surprisingly humanizing effect. This is the last week you can see “The Last Supper: 600 Plates Illustrating Final Meals of U.S. Death Row Inmates” at the Block Museum in nearby Evanston. (Mary & Leigh Block Museum of Art, 40 Arts Circle Dr, 10am–8pm. Free)
