The three best things to do today in Chicago

1. Hear the haunting voice of a Chicago chantuese

Get carried away by singer-songwriter Haley Fohr’s bellowing voice and personal lyrics when Circuit des Yeux performs tonight at the Hideout. Chicago-born Fohr returns from a solo tour across the U.S. and Europe and takes the stage for the first time with a backing band. (Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia Ave, 9pm. $12, 21+)

2. Spend your last night in the belly of this beast

It’s closing night for David Catlin’s riveting and powerful adaptation of Moby Dick to the stage. It’s your last chance to enter the giant metal rib cage and see the actors who powerfully deliver the classic. (Lookingglass Theatre, 821 N Michigan Ave, 7:30pm. $40-$80)

3. Watch a Hitchcockian sh*t show

Nothing is planned beforehand when you watch Annoyance's long-running smashed hit Hitch*cocktails, but there is one rule the players must follow as they attempt to create a full-length Hitchcock-style show: Every time a player is offered a drink, they must finish it. And yes, the booze is real. So are the laughs. (Annoyance Theatre, 851 W Belmont Ave, 10pm. $20)
