1. Alors on danse, Chicago

America may be slow to catch on to the international sensation that is Stromae. The Brussels born electro-rap songwriter makes French pop music that is as sophisticated as it is catchy. After canceling his spot at Lolla this summer, Chicago gets another chance to fall in love with Stromae at the Riviera Theatre tonight. (Riviera Theatre, 4746 N Racine Ave, 7pm. $40)

2. Raise a glass and shout Prost!

Celebrate Oktoberfest at the bar that knows their German beers. Prost!’s Oktoberfestivities kick off today and continue all month, filling both your glass and calendar. Stop in for Mug Night Mondays and raise a glass to the new week! (Prost!, 2566 N Lincoln Ave, 5pm–2am. Free)

3. Place yourself at the Art Institutes newest exhibition

Be one of the first to experience “Making Place,” the Art Institute's newest exhibit exploring the acclaimed work of contemporary architect David Adjaye. Known for mega projects like the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo and a soon-to-be-completed Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C., Adjaye has designed over 50 convention-challenging projects across the world and you'll want to get to know the prolific architect yourself. (Art Institute, 111 S Michigan Ave, 10:30am–5pm. Included in museum admission $14-$25
