1. See an incredible sports photography exhibition

Red Bull (known art aficionados?) are displaying more than 55 images in gigantic light boxes at the traveling Red Bull Illume exhibition. It’s totally free and totally open to the public. (Millennium Park, Wrigley Square, Michigan Ave and Randolph St, 6:30pm. Free)

2. Jump right into haunted house season

Thrill-seekers, rejoice: Statesville Haunted Prison makes its season premiere tonight. It’s a trek outside of the city, but it's worth the trip for a good scare. (Statesville Haunted Prison, 17250 S Weber Rd, 7pm. $30, VIP $45)

3. Laugh at some top-notch stand-up comedy

Comedian Myq Kaplan (Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers) is headlining a benefit show for Gilead Church Chicago. Local comics Marty DeRose, Alex Kumin and Julia Weiss also grace tonight’s bill. (Schubas, 3159 N Southport Ave, 8:30pm. $20)
