1. Have a Britpop night
The 1975 are playing the Aragon tonight, so shake off your Monday blues with a good dance. These rockers are like One Direction’s cooler, older brother—more self-serious, but certainly churning out catchy tunes. (Aragon Ballroom, 1106 W Lawrence Ave, 7pm. $45).

2. Show off your trivia knowledge
Brush up on your random historical/pop culture facts and head to Parts and Labor for their weekly trivia night. (Parts and Labor, 2700 N Milwaukee Ave, 9pm. Free).

3. Watch slam poets battle it out
Octagon is one of the freshest, most diverse shows to hit the Chicago theater scene in quite some time. These powerful performances are not to be missed. (Broadway Armory Park, 5917 N Broadway, 7:30pm. $5-$25).
