The three best things to do today in Chicago

1. Take your mind to the Southern Hemisphere
Brazilian singer/actor Seu Jorge brings his beautiful acoustic croons to Thalia Hall tonight. Perhaps you know him from his role in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, where he sang Bowie songs in Portuguese. (Thalia Hall, 1807 S Allport St, 6pm and 9pm shows. $25-$50, VIP $150-$250)

2. Explore the great unknown
…You know, while drinking. The Adler Planetarium’s monthly 21+ party Adler After Dark is on again tonight. Have a glass of wine, learn about the stars and snap a skyline picture or two while you’re out there. (Adler Planetarium, 1300 S Lake Shore Dr, 6pm. $25, $20 in advance)

3. Just dance it off
It’s been a rough couple weeks for everyone, so shake it out at Slo ‘Mo, Chicago’s best queer dance party. All genders and sexualities are welcome, as long as you’re down to dance to Sade. (The Whistler, 2421 N Milwaukee Ave, 9pm. Free)
