Earlier this year, Julian Cox left his roots in Los Angeles for the Windy City, joining Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises to open il Porcellino, the new Italian concept inside the shuttered Paris Club. Now, the cocktail connoisseur is joining Lettuce as overall beverage director and will be overseeing the menu at Three Dots and a Dash.

Cox plans on debuting a new menu for the tiki spot this May, giving a big refresh the bar hasn't seen since Diane Corcoran's first overhaul in April 2015, after Paul McGee's 2014 departure for Lost Lake.

Expect a big party for the new menu—Cox will be hosting a tiki luau on May 1 with nationwide bar talent that will be in town for the 2016 James Beard Awards on May 2. Tickets will be limited and more information will be available in the coming weeks.
