The ride sharing service has announced that it's teaming up with seasonal sweater purveyors Tipsy Elves (of Shark Tank fame) for a one-day "UberELVES" promotion. Users who log into the app between 1pm and 5pm today can enter the promo code "UBERELVESCHI" and request the delivery of an ugly sweater for the low price of $10.
The promotion arrives a week before National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day (no, we're not making that up) on December 18, and just two days before a belligerent horde of drunks descend on Wrigleyville for the 20th annual Twelve Bars of Christmas bar crawl, affectionately referred to as TBOX. If you do end up heading to Wrigleyville on Saturday, you might as well jump on the deal that Uber is offering. You really shouldn't be spending more than $10 on a sweater to wear to the event, as there's a pretty good chance that it will be covered in vomit by the day's end.
