Where to recycle your Christmas tree in Chicago

Christmas has come and gone, and soon you'll have to say goodbye to the tree that graced your living room throughout the season. Instead of littering your gutter or dumpster with your evergreen, head to one of these parks January 2–16 to recycle your tree. The city will grind the tree down into mulch, which can also be picked up at six parks from January 11–17.

If you can't get to a park, Do The Right Thing! Recycling will come by your apartment and pick up your tree curbside for $15 or inside your house for $25—just remove all of the decorations and be sure to schedule at least two days in advance.
