You can play Pac-Man on Google Maps

The hit arcade game Pac-Man has entertained generations of people. The game has made a huge comeback in Chicago of late with the surge of arcade bars like Headquarters and Emporium (not to mention the new Pac-Man–themed restaurant in Schaumburg).

Just in time for April Fool's Day, Google Maps has launched an option to turn a given area into a Pac-Man map. With a single click, an array of yellow dots will appear and Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde will chase around your signature Pac-Man character. Chicago's grid system makes for the perfect arena.

You can scoot the hungry yellow character around Wrigleyville and pretend that all of the dots are tank-topped bros shouting out things like "another round of Fireball shots!". Or maybe hop on Lake Shore Drive and really fuse the famous avenue with the alternate meaning of its acronym.

Whatever you choose to do with it, this new feature combines two of the greatest things in the history of mankind: 1980s arcade games and urban planning.
