Can bartenders in schoolgirl outfits draw a crowd? The owners of Detention sure think so.

A Help Wanted ad is nothing to laugh at in this economy, so when a new club opens in the Gold Coast, the applications come flooding in.

There's reform school and then there's Detention, the newest late night bottle-service watering hole now open in River North. A classified ad for Sexy Female Party Starters for Brand New Gold Coast Night Club, read something like this "Detention, a brand new night club / bar in a well-established and fast-paced night life location in the Gold Coast is looking for sexy female party starters. In this role, you will be outfitted in a somewhat revealing catholic high school girl uniform. Your duties will be to get the party started! This includes: Getting on the bar and pouring shots in peoples mouths. Dancing on the bar and dj booth. Making sure our guests are having fun!"

New Chicago nightclub Dentention may not yet have a line out the door—but it sports a private school girl-uniformed staff and a concept that has proven a winner in sophisticated (or so we thought) party capitals such as London. At least here, trouble is encouraged, which means there aren't any nuns around to take rulers to your knuckles. Time will tell whether the club catches on. In the meantime, enjoy these Darkroom Demons photos from the club's first week with the doors open.
