I saw this show last night with my husband and what can we say - we loved it! The show is full of music and it's all incredibly catchy and memorable. Bravo to those who had a hand in crafting the tunes because we were singing a few of them on the ride home (not going to spoil anything, but a certain song about waffles is still
I also thought the writing in general was super strong!!! Nothing was ever offensive or too edgy but the show was still very funny and family friendly without sacrificing humor! The show did a lot with food and love (which makes for an excellent date night - for me AND my husband!), and all of it was very clever and original.
And I would be remiss if I were not to mention the cast - this group of kids is a wow!! Whether it be the really personal monologues from some of the cast (Nick Bernardi and Preston Parker in particular had incredible - and VEEERY different - monologues about weight loss) and every one of these cats can SING - and I mean REALLY SING! It's one of the most enjoyable nights out I've had in awhile and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all!!
