Hedwig Dances is the company in residence at the Cultural Center, and it regularly offers workshops for enthusiasts and professional dancers. Muntu Dance Theatre’s Amaniyea Payne offers a series called African Expressions, lessons in choreography and technique are given by visiting artists, and the space hosts DanceBridge, a series of free in-progress showings.

Chicago House Music Festival and Conference

This annual fest and conference celebrating the iconic dance music genre born in Chicago brings a full day of DJ sets to Millennium Park. Acts this year include Ralphi Rosario, Specter, Psycho B, Shaun J. Wright and more. The live music will be preceded by an open house and panel discussions, and the festival will wrap up with a chill-down session along the Riverwalk.
