If you've seen the "Footnotes" video that plays during the nightly Art on theMart projections, then you're familiar with some of the footwork dancers that will be showing off their moves (live and in-person!) at this event on the Chicago Riverwalk. The night will begin with a performance by clarinetist and composer Angel Bat Dawid, who is also featured the "Footnotes" video. Then, the Era Footwork Crew will show off some dance moves, building on the tradition of technical movement that has existed in Chicago since the ’80s. Finally, four local youth dance groups will join in on the fun, performing until the Art on theMart projections are displayed on the side of the Merchandise Mart.
Dance Down by The River will take place in the Confluence section of the Riverwalk, located on the western edge of the pathway, between Lake and Franklin Streets.
